Moonton Assists Police in Busting Game Private Server Piracy Case, Multiple Suspects Detained

Moonton announced on November 2 that it helped Shanghai Minhang police bust a game private server copyright infringement case after months of cooperation, dismantling a criminal group that illegally set up and operated private servers; suspects have been placed under criminal coercive measures. The private server launched in May, copied official game content and lured players with promotions such as "double recharge amounts," and police carried out arrests in September, seizing devices and finding two more private server games set to launch. The case is still under investigation.
