Nagoshi Studio officially shuts down after NetEase stops funding

Nagoshi Studio, founded by Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, has officially dissolved, with Japan's official gazette Kanpo confirming the company was dissolved on Oct. 31. The studio had been working on Gang of Dragon, a crime drama starring Ma Dong-seok; Bloomberg reported in March that NetEase cut funding after learning the game would need another 7 billion yen ($44 million) to complete, and the studio reportedly failed to find another backer.
