Sony to skip CES 2027 for first time since expo's inaugural event in 1967

Sony and its affiliates do not plan to exhibit at CES in 2027, marking Sony's first absence since the event began in 1967. A Sony spokesperson told Bloomberg the decision reflects its current focus on "entertainment, intellectual property, and technology geared to support creators." Sony's usual CES presence has included keynote addresses and PlayStation hardware news, such as the PS5 logo reveal in 2020 and the PlayStation VR2 and Horizon: Call of the Mountain announcement in 2022.
