Interview with Justice Online Producer Zou Jiaxuan: We Still Strongly Believe in the Future of MMOs

Zou Jiaxuan, general manager of NetEase's Zhurong Studio and producer of Justice Online Mobile, said traditional MMOs face real challenges but still have broad potential through immersive worlds, role-playing fantasy and continued innovation. He responded to a Naavik report citing a $2.5 billion decline in global mobile MMORPG in-app revenue, noting the figure covers only App Store data and excludes PC and other payment channels. He said Justice Online aims for long-term longevity, with no pay-for-stats and no forced socializing as design directions.
