Game Artists Worry: AI Models Now Operate Blender for 3D Modeling — Are Tripo and Meshy at Risk?

After OpenAI launched GPT-6 Astra in September, users connected the model to Blender and game engines to build 3D models, scenes, animations and even playable games from natural language, with one hospital corridor scene finished in about 45 minutes. Astra scored 95.9% geometric overlap on the BenchCAD test, versus 83.3% for GPT-5.6 Sol and 84.3% for Claude Fable 5.1. In showcased projects GPT handled workflow and assembly while Tripo supplied base assets, and general models may first take over the direct link between specialized tools and users.
