Former Activision CEO Bobby Kotick joins Skydance board
Bobby Kotick returns: former Activision boss becomes board member of Skydance, the new company formed by Paramount and Warner Bros
Former Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has joined the board of Skydance, the company formed by merging Warner Bros. into Paramount, as one of 13 board members, with former UK prime minister Tony Blair joining as an advisor. The merger also combined the two companies' games divisions, now led by Tony Driscoll, whose franchises include Mortal Kombat, Mission Impossible, Avatar and Hogwarts Legacy 2. Kotick stepped down as Activision CEO after Xbox's $68.7bn acquisition in 2023, and he continues to deny claims in a Wall Street Journal report about his knowledge of sexual-misconduct allegations.
