Steam Hardware Survey Shows How Hard PC Gamers Have Been Hit by AI

The October Steam Hardware Survey shows 16GB RAM configurations rising 3.6% to 41.42% of users, overtaking 32GB, which fell 5.16% to 37.06%. The RTX 3060 reclaimed the top GPU spot at 3.62%, while 4-core CPUs rose 1.57% to 12.36% as 8-core CPUs declined. Rising component prices and memory being diverted to AI data centers are pushing PC gamers toward older, cheaper builds.
