End Of Abyss Commits A Metroidvania Cardinal Sin

GameSpot's review says End of Abyss is a third-person metroidvania in which you play Cel, a voiceless technician investigating a facility that has gone dark, across a 12- to 15-hour sci-fi horror story. It draws on Little Nightmares' texture, soulslike bosses, and Resident Evil-style fixed camera angles, and its exploration and backtracking are the reviewer's favorite part. However, several flaws and poor blending of those influences leave it an inconsistent patchwork.
