Battlefield 6 appears to have removed Mass Effect crossover items after EA shut down BioWare
Mass Effect crossover items have seemingly been removed from Battlefield 6 following EA's sudden closure of BioWare
After EA abruptly shut down BioWare, Mass Effect themed cosmetics that had been added to Battlefield 6's menus but were not yet available appear to have been removed, and players quickly spotted the change. The items included a Normandy weapon charm, sci-fi style weapons and N7 tags, which fans had expected to mark N7 Day on 7th November. EA said it was making deliberate choices to align talent and investment, laying off 400 workers and cutting BioWare entirely.
After EA shut down BioWare, players noticed Battlefield 6's ready-made Mass Effect cosmetics had been removed, a contrast with earlier crossover backlash.
