Crystal Lake Finally Introduces a Key Missing Component of Jason Voorhees' History

Crystal Lake, the new eight-episode Peacock series set in the early 1970s, has introduced Elias Wittering, Jason's father, played by Hamish Linklater. The seventh episode reveals he was a salesman for Bellflower Chemical, whose Project Argonaut experiments enhanced human durability and explain both Jason's survival and Pamela's altered mental state.
