Insider says Mass Effect 5 development was going well before EA shifted to sports and shooters

Insider Shinobi602 said on ResetEra that Mass Effect 5 development was going well, with story, squadmates, hubs and NPCs in place and no development hell. He said the team, including BioWare devs from the original trilogy, started in 2020, paused to help ship Veilguard, and resumed after its launch, while EA leadership was high on the project before the company shifted toward sports and shooters. He also said the leaked trailer used placeholder pre-production assets and was not meant to be public.
