Stranger Than Heaven first previews roundup: mostly positive, with splits on combat and casting

Several outlets published first previews of Stranger Than Heaven after a three-hour hands-on session in London, and the overall tone was largely positive. Polygon highlighted watching society change across eras as a standout, while IGN said the demo turned its view of RGG Studio's next game around; Push Square remained unsure about combat and presentation details, and Metro called Snoop Dogg's casting as ship captain Orpheus immersion-breaking. The game launches on January 15, 2027, day one on Ultimate and PC Game Pass with Xbox Play Anywhere support.
