Xbox CEO Asha Sharma says Xbox is not for sale

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma told The New York Times that Xbox is not for sale, saying the company will seek the right partnerships and operating model to succeed. A June report from The Information said Microsoft had no immediate plans to spin off Xbox but had not ruled out restructuring it as a wholly-owned subsidiary or forming a joint venture. Sharma, who replaced Phil Spencer in February, has overseen 1,600 layoffs at Xbox with 1,600 more expected later this year.
