Rimworld-inspired colony sim Stardeus has received a gargantuan early access update that developer Kodo Linija says was a year in the making, with the Steam notes listing more than 1,500 changes. The new version adds a quest system, a new opening tutorial chain, alliances with other starfaring factions, lifelong injury from failed surgery, and the option to become an evil AI that mind-controls crew with beta waves. The 1.0 rollout is due in approximately Q1 2027.
