Wizards of the Coast says for the second time this year it won't voluntarily recognize a union

According to the United Wizards of the Coast Union (UWOTC-CWA) on X, Wizards of the Coast told the union it does not intend to voluntarily recognize its D&D and Studio X units ahead of a vote. The union, formed in June by Magic: The Gathering Arena team employees, was not formally recognized by the company earlier, and Wizards sent employees letters urging them not to vote for it. In a statement to Wargamer, the company said it works best directly with employees and will respect the election result, while the union is bargaining for fair wages, career progression, job security, remote work protections and sustainable workloads.
