Diablo 5 Game Director Promises a Return to Methodical Character Builds, but Players Don't Believe Him

Diablo 5 game director Joe Shely said on Twitter that while the game will keep some DEX (moment-to-moment execution) mechanics, it will on balance be an INT/STR game built around planning and investment. The community responded skeptically, with top Reddit comments saying Blizzard has made such promises before and will likely reverse course after launch. Diablo 5 is still a couple of years away.
