Life is Strange makers Don't Nod face layoffs and possible insolvency, French workers union STJV state
French game workers union STJV said Life is Strange developer Don't Nod has told the financial press it entered a safeguard procedure to avoid full insolvency over unpaid debts. The union said layoffs cover nearly all non-managerial jobs, including 6/6 animators, 18/22 programmers and 6/6 associate producers, and that the studio cannot fund its existing redundancy plan or finish its remaining project P14. Management is betting on outsourcing, with the CSE consultation ending on November 3rd and firing letters possible on November 25th if the plan is accepted.
