What does a racing game need to do to have a shot at Game of the Year?

Clutch, a cinematic open-world action racing game from Maverick Games, is planned for a 2027 release and is set in Monaco and the French Riviera. Its creative team includes veterans of the Forza Horizon series, and its writer Jamie Brittain came from the British series Skins. Creative director Mike Brown insists race outcomes are decided only by player skill, not scripted wins or losses.
