Kotaro Uchikoshi's new studio Crash Keys has its first game cancelled and is publicly seeking work and investment
Zero Escape and The Hundred Line co-creator's new studio "might literally crash into a million pieces" after the cancellation of its next game
Brief
Kotaro Uchikoshi announced that the first game from his new studio Crash Keys, in development for about a year and a half, was suddenly cancelled, and he said he lost his job overnight. Crash Keys opened in March 2025 and had planned to formally reveal itself and its first game next year, but is now speaking publicly earlier than expected while seeking work or investment. The studio's website lists only two other employees, writer Akira Mine and Muri Sasaki.
