Valve released the Steam Frame's CAD files on Friday evening, letting anyone with a 3D printer or lathe make non-commercial accessories from the official blueprints. Early Frame recipients had already prototyped homemade add-ons, including a back-mounted power bank holder, HackStrap variants that undercut the £59 Ergonomic Accessories Kit, and a lifesize skull stand that stores the controllers.
