Final Fantasy Resonance review: HD-2D visuals, Phantom Soldiers, and break-based combat in a full single-player RPG

The author played through Final Fantasy Resonance, due out October 23, and found the single-player RPG adapted from the FFBE mobile game more complete than expected. It is the series' first HD-2D title, pairing pixel characters with 3D scenes, lighting, and camera work, plus cinematic pixel cutscenes. Combat centers on break gauges and Phantom Soldier skill combinations that let players build their own setups.
