Polygon reviews Final Fantasy Resonance, finding nostalgia but little of its own

Polygon's review finds Final Fantasy Resonance leans heavily on references to earlier series entries and offers little that stands on its own. Co-developed by Square Enix and Lancarse, it adapts the shuttered mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius with turn-based combat and equippable Visions, and removing gacha leaves the combat light on challenge. It launches Oct. 22 on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
