Final Fantasy Resonance is the first Final Fantasy game to use Square Enix's housemade "2D-HD" graphical style, reviving the defunct mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius as a full console RPG. In the demo, the mad scientist Dr. Lazarov experiments on fallen comrades, and after the heroes Rain and Lasswell defeat his summoned monster, one line of dialogue won the author over with its sense of humor.
