Valor Mortis review: Ghostrunner studio's Napoleonic Soulslike adds parkour and gun-blade combat

Eurogamer reviewed Valor Mortis, One More Level's alternate-history Napoleonic Soulslike starring Grande Armée soldier William Dowsett. The review calls its first-person swordplay solid and notes the gradual addition of pistols, shotguns, rifles, parkour and grapple swings across a roughly 20-hour run that is more forgiving than genre peers. It faults the later stages for repeated enemy types, similar environments and a predictable story.
