Mob Entertainment lays off almost entire Escape From Playtime team

A former lead game designer at Mob Entertainment said on LinkedIn that the studio laid off almost the entire Escape From Playtime team, including himself. The two-to-eight-player online survival co-op game launched on October 21, 2026, two weeks before the layoffs. Mob Entertainment senior communications manager Tyler Sanchez said on the game's official Discord that development continues, with roadmap changes to matchmaking, the rollout order of bigger body enemies, and map variety.
