JSAUX's Prebuilt Steam Machine Faceplate Screens Arrive, Cheaper Than Valve's DIY Inkterface Build

JSAUX's Steam Machine E-Ink and Pixel Matrix faceplates are now on sale for $100 and $90 respectively, undercutting the $104.50 component cost of building a panel via Valve's open-source Inkterface project. Both offer performance monitoring, clock, weather, calendar and photo frame modes switchable in SteamOS quick settings, with companion software due via Steam from early October. The E-Ink panel refreshes only once per minute, while the Pixel Matrix trades detail for colour and retro charm.
