Sony Releases New PS5 Firmware Update as Jailbreak Race Heats Up Ahead of GTA 6

Sony has released PS5 system software update 26.07-14.20.00, a 1.2 GB download whose official patch notes only mention improved messages and usability on some screens. The homebrew scene has recently released jailbreaks for prior PS5 firmwares, while some games require the 14.00 firmware to download updates. Some worry that a jailbreak for the firmware required by GTA 6 could let the game be pirated on PS5.
