Latest Patent Suggests PlayStation 6 Will Likely Have Sony's Own Take on Frame Generation

A new Sony patent, "Generation Super Sampling" (US-20260320740-A1), suggests the PlayStation 6 could use Sony's own frame generation that takes controller input to better predict frame-to-frame movement and reduce latency or hitching. The patent also leaves the door open for multi-frame generation, though high refresh rate TVs are limited to 120Hz. As with all patents, there is a chance none of these technologies make it to market.
