Forza Motorsport director and Turn 10 boss Dan Greenawalt retires from Microsoft after 27 years

An internal memo seen by The Verge's Tom Warren confirms that Turn 10 studio head Dan Greenawalt is retiring from Microsoft after 27 years. Playground Games studio head Trevor Williams credited him with shipping Project Gotham Racing on the original Xbox in 2001 and founding Turn 10 to lead Forza. The report adds that 2023's Forza Motorsport may be the last in the series for the foreseeable future, with the remaining Turn 10 team moved to support Forza Horizon and no further content planned.
