Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 review roundup puts PC Metacritic average at 86

After Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launched on October 23, Metacritic's PC average stood at 86 from 25 scored outlets, all positive. IGN gave it 7, calling the campaign the best in the Modern Warfare series since the 2019 reboot while faulting some stealth sections and the melee counter system. GameSpot gave it 8, naming DMZ the standout mode with Hajin as the largest map in series history, and said most of the 12 launch multiplayer maps lack novelty.
