The Backworld Launches in Q2 2027

Publisher Top Hat Studios and developer Numor Games announced that The Backworld, a turn-based RPG with narrative-driven horror elements, will launch for PC via Steam in Q2 2027. The game features nonlinear exploration across surreal horror, JRPG-inspired fantasy and sci-fi worlds, with a hoverboard, cyberspace hacking, and recruitable companions and pets. It offers Explorer, Adventurer, and Survivor modes, the last being a hardcore survival horror mode with perma-death.
