Suda51's Grasshopper Manufacture splits from NetEase to become independent again

Grasshopper Manufacture announced it is splitting from NetEase and returning to independent status. CEO Goichi Suda, known as Suda51, said in a press release that the decision followed thorough discussions with NetEase and came with the company's generous cooperation. The studio was acquired by NetEase in 2021 and released only Romeo is a Dead Man under the publisher, after reports that NetEase planned to divest most of its overseas teams.
