Evil Geniuses to cease operations on November 2

Evil Geniuses announced it will cease competitive and day-to-day operations on November 2, the date VCT 2026 contracts end and free agency opens ahead of the 2027 season. CEO Chris DeAppolonio cited limited sponsorship and rising costs at the top level, and the announcement came shortly after the eighth and final VCT Americas partnership spot was awarded elsewhere. All Valorant players and coaches, including the Evil Geniuses Academy roster, become free agents when the season ends.
