Blizzard Announces World Of Warcraft: Forever, Expanding Vanilla WoW With New Zones, Raids, 1,000 New Quests Set

Brief

Blizzard announced World of Warcraft: Forever at BlizzCon, a new game edition that expands the vanilla WoW experience with new and overhauled zones, 1,000 new quests across the level 1-60 bracket, 9 additional dungeons, 10-20 player raids, and a new neutral playable elven race called the Skyborne. New zones include Mount Hyjal, Zephras Isle, and The Riverglades, with a new battleground on Darkspear Islands, while the engine adds new lighting and global illumination, volumetric particle effects, a new water renderer, and real-time shadows. A beta launches Thursday, September 17, ahead of the November 4 release date.
