Nvidia Says My RTX 4070 Super Can't Do Multi Frame Gen, but This Unofficial Unlock Feels Surprisingly Smooth
Nvidia says my RTX 4070 Super isn't capable of Multi Frame Gen, but I'm surprised by how smooth this unofficial unlock actually feels
Brief
A PC Gamer editor used unofficial ReShade HDR Installer mods to unlock Multi Frame Generation beyond the official 2x limit on an RTX 4070 Super, testing up to 6x MFG. Testing was done at 1440p with High settings and DLSS Balanced, limited to single-player games to avoid anti-cheat detection. In several games, unlocked 4x MFG raised average frame rates well above 2x, such as Black Myth: Wukong Benchmark Tool going from 99 to 170 fps.
