King signs collective bargaining agreement with Swedish unions, averting strike

King signed a collective bargaining agreement with Swedish unions Engineers of Sweden and Unionen, cancelling a strike that was scheduled to begin on September 25, 2026. The two sides had been negotiating since May 2025 before talks over a collective agreement reached an impasse. Engineers of Sweden, which represents around 100 of King's roughly 500 employees in Malmo and Stockholm, said the deal gives workers more opportunities to influence their work situation and the right to organize and receive timely information about workplace changes such as reorganisations.
