    Modder finds cheat codes to unlock F-Zero GX's five golden cars

    Japanese modder BTEST4HE found that F-Zero GX's five golden cars were always unlockable through cheat codes, though they require four players to input simultaneously with a 10-frame window. The cars were previously given out only at Japanese events, and players have confirmed the codes work on all versions, including the Switch 2 GameCube library. The five cars are Thunderstorm, El Dorado, Chrono Symphony, Bahamut and Gladiator, with CGN estimating only 256 people obtained El Dorado through official channels.

    GTA 5 Modder Taunts Rockstar With Unofficial Nintendo Switch Port, Gets Cease and Desist from Take-Two

    A modder known as Mojso was porting GTA 5 and GTA Online to Nintendo Switch and taunted Rockstar Games after it posted modding guidelines forbidding unofficial ports. Less than a week later, Mojso confirmed receiving a cease and desist from Take-Two Interactive and said the port will never release, with Paralympics Productions shutting down on October 3rd. The port had been built using leaked GTA 5 source code.

Paralympics Productions will close on October 3, after his Discord server was taken down for copyright infringement on September 23 and Take-Two's lawyers contacted him. He said he is "thankful for Take Two's mercy" and called it the definitive end.

    According to Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson, Ubisoft Milan previously pitched Nintendo an original The Legend of Zelda spin-off codenamed Goliath, which would have featured a completely new protagonist. Nintendo reportedly liked the concept and asked Ubisoft Milan to make the player character Ganondorf instead, but rejected the prototype in November 2023 for unclear reasons, and the project was cancelled with the team split across other Ubisoft projects.
