Call of Duty Movie Director Teases Story Exploring 'the Cost of War,' Praises Modern Warfare Characters

Call of Duty movie director Peter Berg says his live-action film will focus on the Modern Warfare universe and explore "the cost of war," praising characters like Captain Price, Soap, Ghost, and Alex as complicated humans. The Skydance-Paramount film, written by Taylor Sheridan, is set to hit theaters on June 30, 2028. Berg, who once called video games "pathetic" in 2013, has since changed his tune.
