Xbox Says It Must Fix Review Code System After Modern Warfare 4 Metacritic Snub

Xbox CTO Scott Van Vliet acknowledged that reviewing a game on Xbox "takes too many steps" and said the first updates are coming soon. The Call of Duty account had promoted Modern Warfare 4 with Metacritic scores of 89 on Switch 2, 88 on PS5, and 87 on PC, but no Xbox average because there were too few Xbox Series X/S reviews. Van Vliet said press and creators should be able to redeem and play, which is what the team is building toward.
