Ubisoft restructuring plan proposes closing Trials developer RedLynx and cutting 72 jobs at Ubisoft Singapore
Ubisoft’s Latest Restructuring Plan Puts Trials Developer RedLynx On The Chopping Block
Brief
Ubisoft announced a restructuring plan that proposes shutting down Trials developer RedLynx and laying off 72 people at Skull and Bones studio Ubisoft Singapore. The RedLynx closure is still a proposal, with Ubisoft saying the studio has no current project and that closing it and cutting its 52 employees makes more economic sense; under Finnish law it must first consult employees. Ubisoft Singapore is projected to lose as much as 20% of its workforce; founded in 2008, it assisted on several Assassin's Creed games and led development on Skull and Bones.
