BioWare Co-Founder Speaks Out on Studio Closure, Mass Effect Cancellation
BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk commented on the studio's closure last week, which cost 50 jobs as part of 400 cuts across the company, and on the cancellation of Mass Effect 5, which a leaked internal trailer indicated was called Mass Effect: Universe. Zeschuk called the Saudi Public Investment Fund's $55 private buyout of EA the final nail in the coffin and criticized executives without game development experience running studios. He left BioWare in 2012 and said he had already made his emotional goodbye.
BioWare's co-founder responds directly to the studio's closure and the cancelled Mass Effect game, tying it to EA's priorities after the private buyout.
