Ubisoft to shut down Rainbow Six Mobile's international servers as Tencent's Rainbow Six Siege China version stays in testing

Ubisoft Montreal said in an open letter on October 8 that Rainbow Six Mobile's international servers will shut down, staying open until January 15, 2027, with the next season still launching as planned next week and no further content updates after that. The game launched on February 23 this year, running for less than eight months. The piece notes that Tencent's 2024 license covers the multi-platform Rainbow Six Mobile, run domestically by its K9 team, while the PC title Rainbow Six Siege's China version received its license in January 2026 and began a second test round including paid content on September 15.
