Jagex responds to generative AI use in RuneScape 3 trailer made by "trusted external partner"

Jagex has responded to the use of generative AI in a RuneScape 3 Dragon Slayer 2 quest trailer shown at RuneFest, which was produced by a "trusted external partner" that had explicitly confirmed GenAI would not be used. The developer has removed the promotional material while it investigates, saying this is the second recent GenAI concern involving a trusted partner and that it is overhauling its review processes. Jagex said it does not use GenAI to create its games, artwork or creative assets, and will work with community creators on the Dragon Slayer II story.
