French publisher Dear Villagers confirms layoffs of around 15 staff

French publisher Dear Villagers has laid off around 15 employees, down from a workforce of roughly 20 before the cuts. The company said the downsizing follows a reorganization of operations by its owner Plug In Digital, and that it intends to keep publishing and producing games. A spokesperson said the workforce reduction plan affects approximately fifteen positions and that final figures are not yet available, while impacted employees said on LinkedIn that the vast majority of the team, including almost all of QA, was laid off.
