Control Resonant director explains why fan-favorite band isn't in the sequel

Control Resonant creative director Mikael Kasurinen explained that the Old Gods of Asgard aren't featured in the Remedy sequel because the game's story and protagonist Dylan required more introspective moments, while the band's bombastic approach suited the first game. The band, the alter ego of Poets of the Fall, provided Take Control for the first game's Ashtray Maze and Herald of Darkness for Alan Wake 2. A poster for the band appears in Control Resonant, but no music from the group is featured.
