Walmart's Zelda-themed Switch 2 pre-orders hit cancellations and missing stock on launch day

Walmart pre-orders for the Zelda-themed Switch 2 were canceled on October 29, the day the consoles were due to arrive, and some stores did not receive units due to a supply chain delay. An internal memo posted on Reddit says staff should keep communicating with pre-order customers, and consoles that did arrive are blocked at point of sale until at least November 6 to ensure pre-orders are fulfilled. Customers report in-store units that would not scan, with similar issues reported at stores such as Target.
