Leaked Mass Effect: Universe trailer gives a taste of what we're all missing
A leaked Mass Effect: Universe trailer surfaced after BioWare's closure was announced. Sci-fi authors Catherynne M. Valente and Derek Kunsken said they had worked on the game for years, while an EA memo said only a small BioWare team was in early development on Mass Effect. IGN, citing sources inside Prime Video, reported the series announced in 2024 is still in active development, and a petition asking EA to keep funding or license the IP has nearly 17,500 signatures.
The leaked footage shows how far the cancelled project had come, alongside writers' involvement and word that the Prime Video series is still moving forward.
