Xbox Is Getting Into AI Gaming, Even If It Won't Say So

Xbox is creating Xbox Labs, a new initiative led by CTO Scott Van Vliet and a small team to turn emerging ideas into experiences for consumers and developers, with a focus on getting more people playing games, especially in web browsers. CEO Asha Sharma pointed to games being rapidly decompiled and rebuilt to run on hardware they were never designed for, noting WebGPU is now approaching 90% global browser support. The announcement makes no mention of AI at all.
