EA Sports confirms it is developing an open-world American football game called Project Gridiron

EA confirmed in a letter about its future that it is developing a social-first open-world American football game called Project Gridiron, with more details promised in the next few months. The same letter said EA is in pre-production on a new Fight Night, its first boxing game in over a decade. The piece does not say whether Project Gridiron will have a narrative or how it relates to Madden and College Football.
