Former Game Developer Editor Launches Vertical Slice, a 'Fearless' New Trade Publication

Chris Kerr, former senior news editor at Game Developer, has launched Vertical Slice, a trade publication focused on daily breaking news with no guides or reviews. Most of the site will be paywalled and ad-free, with some free articles each week and a free library of design documents and pitch decks from developers including OuterSloth and Kitfox Games. Kerr is funding the venture with his own savings and hopes to eventually build a newsroom of five to ten people.
